Breast screening women aged 40-49 reduces breast cancer mortality, with minimal increased overdiagnosis, according to a study led by Queen Mary University of London that looked at data from 160,000 women.

Southridge LLC, an investment firm providing capital to publicly listed companies, is pleased to announce that its affiliated fund has closed a private equity agreement for up to $7.5 million in equity financing with PuraMed BioScience.
When it's comes men and health, the numbers don't stack up. Compared to women, men are 24 percent less likely than women to visit the doctor, according to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. Yet, men are 28 percent more likely than women to be hospitalized for congestive heart failure and 32 percent more likely to receive care for complication of diabetes.
