Mental health is again front and center in the gun control debate with some consensus on Capitol Hill that more resources are needed to treat the mentally ill. A new study also examines the relationship between gun ownership and mental illness in several countries.
Spherix Incorporated, an innovator in biotechnology for therapy in diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and atherosclerosis; and providers of technical and regulatory consulting services to food, supplement, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Biospherics Incorporated, has signed a license agreement with the University of Kentucky Research Foundation (UKRF).
The study, by scientists at the University of St Andrews, shows that simple increases in a man's height and age automatically makes them appear more dominant.
Epinephrine autoinjectors can be life-saving for patients experiencing anaphylaxis - a life-threatening emergency - but a new case series published online Tuesday in Annals of Emergency Medicine identifies design features of EpiPens, the most commonly used autoinjector, that appear to be contributing to injuries in children ("Lacerations and Embedded Needles Caused by Epinephrine Autoinjector Use in Children").
