Unfortunately, the DNA repair process is not perfect and sometimes, damaged DNA gets passed on to newly made cells. A team of researchers at the Center for Molecular Biology of Heidelberg University has recently discovered that in yeast cells, the amount of nutrients that cells are exposed to can affect DNA surveillance and repair mechanisms and therefore the quality of their DNA.

Several factors likely contribute to these problems, and mothers' depression has consistently been identified as one. Now a new study has found that moms with higher levels of symptoms of depression might act in ways that disturb their infants' sleep.
Researchers form the Institute of Nuclear Sciences (ICN) at the Mexican National Autonomous University (UNAM) lead a project conceived and entrusted by the Mexican Enterprise Matersys Group, to build the first medical surveillance bracelet for senior citizens.
