A $1.5 million, five-year grant recently awarded to Temple's Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry will support training of students in pediatric dental care and expand access to care for children in need.
A comprehensive review by University of North Carolina researchers and colleagues highlights the optimal ways that focused, high-dose radiation can be delivered to various types of tumors while sparing normal tissue and mitigating long-term side effects.
Researchers at a conference in Los Angeles have said that as many as 85% of HIV-positive South Africans are also infected with an extensively drug-resistant form of tuberculosis (TB), Extensive Drug Resistant TB (XDR-TB).
