A federal appeals court backed the Obama administration's drive to levy greater punishments on pharmaceutical executives tied to corporate wrongdoing, saying the administration could effectively derail the executives' careers by barring them from doing business with federal programs including Medicare.

A simple retinal prosthesis is being developed in collaboration between Tel Aviv University in Israel and Linköping University in Sweden. Fabricated using cheap and widely-available organic pigments used in printing inks and cosmetics, it consists of tiny pixels like a digital camera sensor on a nanometric scale. Researchers hope that it can restore sight to blind people.
According to new research teenagers in the U.S. are using the family medicine cabinets in their search for drugs to get high on.
