According to an article published in the October 2010 issue of AGD Impact, the monthly newsmagazine of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), dentists may be the first health care providers to notice evidence of an eating disorder, such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and pica.
Ninety-six per cent of patients with back problems were satisfied with the assessment carried out by a specially trained nurse practitioner, according to a study in the December issue of the Journal of Advanced Nursing.
Celgene International Sàrl today announced that researchers presented data from an investigator-initiated Phase II study of lenalidomide (REVLIMID) in untreated patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia at the annual meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
New research published in the February 2015 issue of The FASEB Journal details a test developed using mice that can help measure two important aspects of retinal health-the function of retinal blood vessels and light-detecting cells. This approach opens new possibilities for understanding the molecular changes that occur in retinal disease and for evaluating the benefits of treatment early in the course of disease.
