According to latest breakthrough in research, a blood test to detect eight common cancers, even before their symptoms begin to appear, may become a reality soon. Research & Diagnostic Antibodies LLC (R&D Antibodies) announced today that it has received a notification stating that the European Patent Office intends to grant a patent for its monoclonal antibody-based immunoassays and apparatuses for measuring inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) as a plasma biomarker for the early detection of the sepsis pathology.
The "hunger" hormone ghrelin, which acts in the brain to stimulate hunger and increase food intake, heightens the appeal of high-calorie foods over low-calorie foods, according to a study that will be presented Tuesday at The Endocrine Society's 92nd Annual Meeting in San Diego.
One thousand new research and business leaders will be created to ensure the UK leads the global revolution in Artificial Intelligence.
New research, led by academics at the University of Bristol and published in the journal Pain, has identified the subtypes of sensory nerve cells that are likely to contribute to long-term nerve pain from partial nerve injury. It is hoped this will aid in development of more effective pain killers.
