The Medicines Company today announced the publication of the results from the SOLO I Phase 3 clinical trial of ORBACTIV (oritavancin), an investigational intravenous antibiotic treatment for Acute Bacterial Skin and Skin Structure Infections (ABSSSI), in the New England Journal of Medicine.
The plan would repeal the health law's long-term care provision and make deep reductions in Medicare and Medicaid that would impact hospital payments. But the blueprint also would permanently address Medicare's physician payment issue.
New research has shown that there may be a possible connection between a hormone found in body fat and the risk of dementia, adding to the growing evidence on the potential link between the condition and diabetes.
In what will be a transformative approach to women's health care in South Florida, the University of Miami Health System and VitalMD Group Holdings LLC, and its wholly owned medical practices LLCs, one of the largest private physician group practices in Florida, have agreed to establish a strategic collaboration to advance the missions of both entities, improving access to high-quality medical care by creating a broader network of providers in the South Florida region.
