New data presented at the Center for Disease Control -sponsored 2010 HIV Diagnostics Conference suggests that an assay based on SMARTube™ technology may prove useful in developing a standardized measure for estimating what proportion of those infected with HIV have become recently infected.
InspireMD Ltd. is announcing today the availability of a new and improved delivery system for its MGuard coronary stent system. The new delivery system, which has already been introduced in selected regions around the world, will now make its launch in South America during SOLACI 2010, taking place at the Hilton Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, August 11th-13th.
Why do some of the one million people who sustain head injuries annually in United States experience a mysterious second wave of brain damage days after the initial injury - just when they appear to be recovering? Limited clinical trials using an innovative new device to monitor brain chemistry on a second-by-second basis are underway to answer that life-and-death question, according to an article in the current issue of Chemical & Engineering News (C&EN), ACS' weekly newsmagazine. Brain injury is the leading cause of death and disability worldwide.
