The parametric response map technique can be used in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease to distinguish between disease subtypes, say US researchers.
A new technique devised by researchers from North Carolina State University and the University of Calgary provides a more in-depth look at the metabolism and physiology within microbial communities - the microscopic life such as bacteria, viruses and other tiny forms of life within our bodies and throughout nature.
Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (CTI) (Nasdaq and MTA: CTIC) announced today that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has accepted and has filed for review the Company's New Drug Application (NDA) for pixantrone as treatment for relapsed or refractory aggressive non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL). A Prescription Drug User Fee Act (PDUFA) date will be established by the FDA regarding the review of the pixantrone NDA by September 4th 2009.
UnitedHealthcare has provided a $1 million grant for the Connecticut Children's Medical Center's Office for Community Child Health to help enhance care delivery and address critical public health issues for children. These issues include child development, wellness, and chronic conditions such as asthma and obesity.
