A system that can recognize human gestures could provide a new way for people with physical disabilities to interact with computers.
While pro-life activists fight to rescue IVF embryos from the freezer, pregnant women in their third trimester with catastrophic fetal anomalies have nowhere to turn. ... Philosophers, historians, economists, social scientists and creative arts practitioners will gather next week at the University of Hertfordshire to discuss what happiness means and how a greater depth of the state can be achieved.
Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell's (D) proposal to expand health care coverage in the state "goes further" than plans offered by "most politicians," but it does not "target the underlying causes of high cost," including "unnecessary care, financial paperwork, excess prices and fraud," Alan Sager and Deborah Socolar, directors of the Health Reform Program at Boston University's School of Public Health, write in a Harrisburg Patriot-News opinion piece.
Our genetic code consists of four "letters" in the form of the nucleobases in our DNA and RNA.
