Contrary to common belief, blue light may not be as disruptive to our sleep patterns as originally thought - according to University of Manchester scientists.
Though the repetitive vocal and motor tics characteristic of Tourette's syndrome may suggest an inability to control involuntary actions at the cognitive level, researchers have now found evidence that young people with Tourette's syndrome actually exhibit a greater level of cognitive control over their movements than their non-affected peers do.
The British Society for Rheumatology has today launched a report setting out a programme of work to enhance care for people with rare rheumatic and musculoskeletal conditions.
The GSMA today published research that demonstrates the significant socio-economic impact that mHealth adoption will have in Europe. Findings reveal that mHealth could save almost €100 billion in healthcare costs in the EU by 2017 as well as add €93 billion in GDP.
Moncton is one of five cities selected by the Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) for implementation of its ground-breaking national research project to find the best way to provide housing and services to people who are living with mental illness and homelessness. Using a 'Housing First' approach, the research project focuses on first providing people who are homeless with a place to live, and then the other assistance and services they require. The goal is to see if this approach is better than traditional 'care as usual'.
