Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration is providing an update on its ongoing sampling and testing efforts designed to better understand the occurrence of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in the food supply.
This year's ESA Annual Meeting will take place December 12-15, 2010 in San Diego, California, where 3,000 scientists are expected to gather from around the world to exchange scientific information and ideas, enhance professional knowledge and skills, network with colleagues and re-acquaint with old friends, and conduct the business of the Society.
Tiny packets of cells called islets throughout the pancreas allow the organ to produce insulin. Type 1 diabetes - also known as juvenile diabetes - tricks the immune system into destroying these islets.
National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) Executive Vice President and CEO Kathleen Jaeger issued the following statement today in response to the Avalere Health study analyzing how the formulary and cost-sharing benefits changes made by various Medicare Part D prescription drug plans affect seniors:
