Enzo Biochem Inc. said today that a decision released Friday by the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit reversing a district court's summary judgment will enable the Company to pursue a claim for substantial damages against Applera Corporation, now Life Technologies Corporation. The Court of Appeals vacated the lower court's judgments of invalidity on United States Patent Nos. 5,328,824 and 5,449,767.
EarlySense, developer of the EverOn patient supervision system for hospital and post acute care, announced today that the company has closed an additional US$7 million D financing round led by JK & B.
The white blood cells are potent fighters that protect the body against foreign invaders, including pathogens and cancer cells. Scientists have found that the presence of B cells, which are powerhouses, in tumor cells, combat the disease from within.
Pathologists have been largely diagnosing disease the same way for the past 100 years, by manually reviewing images under a microscope. But new work suggests that computers can help doctors improve accuracy and significantly change the way cancer and other diseases are diagnosed.
