Nearly two decades ago, Dr. Jeffrey Cadeddu was watching TV when a lightbulb went off. The program showed teens using magnetic studs to avoid piercings in their lips, and Dr. Cadeddu, a surgeon, realized the same principal could be applied to his work, reducing the number of incisions and resultant scars.

Democrats want Republicans to first define what they mean by "structural changes" to Medicare and Medicaid.
Society must align the overlapping priorities and often clashing interests of medical intelligence, national security agendas and the global health community, according to global health advocates writing in the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine.
In Washington, DC, The George Washington University Hospital's (GWUH) internal survey shows employee satisfaction with hospital communication increased by 33 percent.
Researchers Professor Graham Lord, from The University of Manchester and colleagues have found that a specific part of the immune system could have the tools that may help in the therapy of some major diseases such as diabetes, cancer, multiple sclerosis, Crohn's disease and other autoimmune diseases.
