The Kaiser Family Foundation on Thursday released a new issue brief that "provides a summary of the major policies and statutory requirements governing U.S. participation in international family planning and reproductive health efforts," according to the website.
A team of researchers including those from Biotechnology Center of the TU Dresden (BIOTEC), have found that stem cells could be used for several forms of tissue engineering including tooth repair.
A thesis from The Sahlgrenska Academy in Sweden shows that it might be possible to predict with great probability which women with ovarian cancer will survive the disease before painful treatment with antineoplastic agents. A better prognosis would considerably improve the quality of life of patients since the treatment could be made more effective and thereby result in fewer side effects.
Scientists from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitaet in Munich have developed a new class of molecular motors that rotate unidirectionally at speeds of up to 1 kHz when exposed to sunlight at room temperature.
The final results of the Clinical Trial of COVID-19 Convalescent Plasma in Outpatients (C3PO) demonstrate that COVID-19 convalescent plasma did not prevent disease progression in a high-risk group of outpatients with COVID-19, when administered within the first week of their symptoms.
