Henry Ford Hospital dermatology researchers are urging caution about using claims data for identifying nonmelanoma skin cancer, suggesting that the commonly used method, which previously had not been validated, may be unreliable.
Computer Programs and Systems, Inc., a leading provider of healthcare information technology to community and specialty hospitals, announced today that the Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE), Electronic Medication Administration Record (E-MAR) and Pharmacy applications of the CPSI System have achieved "approvable" status from the Ohio Board of Pharmacy. To achieve "approvable" status, CPSI worked with the Board to enhance the security of CPSI's medication management solutions and validate compliance with the Board's standards for the integration of positive caregiver identification.
