Genentech, a member of the Roche Group, today announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has accepted the company's supplemental Biologics License Application for the use of a Perjeta (pertuzumab) regimen before surgery (neoadjuvant treatment) in people with HER2-positive early stage breast cancer.
The present study investigates whether the function of the intestines is also attacked in MS. The results, obtained from a disease model of MS in mice, shows inflammation and changes in the barrier function of the intestines early in the course of the disease.
Scientists in the United States say that diets rich in docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) can help prevent the development of the two brain lesions that are hallmarks of Alzheimer's disease.
