In an article published in the journal Substance Use & Misuse, the researchers showed that partying, drinking and work prompted college students to recall their smoking experience, and that smoking occurred most often at the start of the semester and on weekends.
Research from the University of Warwick suggests suicide rates are much higher in protestant areas than catholic areas.
Researchers at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston have begun a study investigating whether a probiotic might be helpful in reducing gut inflammation in infants with colic.
Consumption of fructose-rich beverages, such as sugar-sweetened sodas and orange juice is associated with an increased risk of gout among women, although their contribution to the risk of gout in the population is likely modest because of the low incidence rate among women, according to a study that will appear in the November 24 print edition of JAMA.
