Use of e-cigarettes every day can nearly double the odds of a heart attack, according to a new analysis of a survey of nearly 70,000 people, led by researchers at UC San Francisco.
Researchers who previously showed that a gene therapy treatment could save the lives of dogs with a deadly disease called myotubular myopathy—a type of muscular dystrophy that affects the skeletal muscles—have found that the therapy is long-lasting.
An international study led by scientists from Inserm and Paris Diderot Universit, the University of Chicago, the National Heart and Lung Institute and the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus together with researchers of the Trans-National Asthma Genetics Consortium has discovered five new regions of the genome that increase the risk of asthma.
Philips Respironics, a business of Royal Philips, will showcase its latest portfolio of sleep-disordered breathing and respiratory solutions September 26-29 at the European Respiratory Society (ERS) International Congress 2015 in Amsterdam.
