The most recent research released in June's Journal of Thoracic Oncology says molecular biomarkers in the tissue and fluid lining the lungs might be an additional predictive technique for lung cancer screening.
Joseph Purita M.D., a well known Orthopedic Surgeon from Florida has announced that plans are being made with the Orthopedic Academies in Sao Paulo Brazil to present his latest findings on the use of stem cells and plasma rich platelet therapy in the treatment of certain bone and joint problems.
Receptor Logic, Inc. announced today receipt of a Phase I Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Grant from the National Cancer Institute. The grant, entitled "Therapeutic Effectiveness of T-Cell Receptor mimic (TCRm™) Antibodies in Breast Cancer Treatment" will accelerate Investigational New Drug Application enabling studies surrounding lead candidate TCRm antibodies.
To stave off a lawsuit, Arizona's Department of Corrections has agreed to investigate scores of complaints by inmates that they are routinely denied medical care for weeks or months even for severe, life-threatening conditions. Inmates who have lost sight, had body parts amputated or been severely disfigured, among other gruesome examples, say proper medical care could have prevented needless suffering.
