AstraZeneca announced today that Health Canada has approved CRESTOR (rosuvastatin calcium) to reduce the risk of nonfatal myocardial infarction (heart attack), nonfatal stroke, and coronary artery revascularization in adult patients without documented history of cardiovascular or cerebrovascular events, but with at least two conventional risk factors for cardiovascular disease.
"Those following the two-year-old saga of the United Nations and cholera in Haiti were startled by" the U.N.'s announcement last week of a $2.2 billion initiative to help eliminate cholera in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
Researchers at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health and Albert Einstein College of Medicine studied the link between food allergy and childhood anxiety and depression among a sample of predominantly low socioeconomic status minority children.
