Ascendant Solutions, Inc. today announced its results for the first quarter of fiscal 2010. The Company reported consolidated net income of $395,000 for the fiscal quarter ended March 31, 2010, compared to net income of $203,000 in 2009, resulting in net income per share ("EPS") of $0.02 compared to net income per share of $0.01.
Treatment with the diabetes drug liraglutide, in combination with diet and exercise, led to a significant reduction in weight and improved a number of cardiovascular risk factors, including high blood pressure and high cholesterol, according to a multicenter study.
