About three-quarters of women newly diagnosed with breast cancer have a friend or family member with them at their first visit with a surgeon. And that person plays a significant role in the patient's decision of what type of surgery to have, according to a new study from the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Halozyme Therapeutics, Inc. today announced insulin variability study results that demonstrated reduced intrasubject absorption variability for the combination of lispro, a meal time analog insulin, plus PH20 (hyaluronidase) compared to subcutaneous injection of lispro alone.
A recent study by investigators at VIB and KU Leuven has demonstrated that chloroquine also normalizes the abnormal blood vessels in tumors. This blood vessel normalization results in an increased barrier function on the one hand - thereby blocking cancer cell dissemination and metastasis - and in enhanced tumor perfusion on the other hand, which increases the response of the tumor to chemotherapy.
