Scientists at the universities in Tübingen and Mainz have developed a test that can provide conclusive proof of gene doping. A new study conducted in collaboration between The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and Harokopio University has found that when an expecting mother gains more weight than recommended, does not exercise or smokes during pregnancy, the probability that her child will be overweight or obese at the age of eight sharply increases.
