Targeting drugs to cancer tissues is a major challenge in cancer treatment. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are known for their ability to find and target tumor cells in the body, but using MSCs for drug delivery has been tricky, because upon loading with drugs, MSCs lose their viability and migratory ability.
As part of the National Science Foundation's funding for new multidisciplinary approaches to neuroscience, Salk Professor Terrence Sejnowski together with the California Institute of Technology will receive over $1 million over 3 years to pursue advanced modeling of the brain.
They were the ancient Maya of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, who will be honored for this tasty contribution on Feb. 14 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Alberta has revised its Cervical Cancer Screening Clinical Practice Guideline (CPG) based on new technologies and epidemiologic evidence from Alberta and internationally.
