A new study published on October 17, 2019, in the journal EP Europace, shows that people who drink alcohol almost every day, even in small amounts, are more at risk to develop an irregular heart rhythm called atrial fibrillation (AF), which is linked to a five-fold higher risk of stroke.
A new monoclonal antibody therapy shows promise in offering an alternative treatment for patients suffering from moderate-to-severe asthma. Research led by Michael E. Wechsler, MD, MMSc, director of the National Jewish Health Cohen Family Asthma Institute, found that itepekimab was safe and effective in a phase 2 trial published online today in the New England Journal of Medicine.
Advanced Diamond Technologies (ADT) is making broadly available an etch recipe which enables engineers and product developers to reliably and affordably design micro devices and sensors out of diamond.
There are very few published estimates describing the number of deaths following surgery at a national level and none at an international level.
