The Levindale Auxiliary has dedicated a unique sensory garden to enrich the lives of residents, employees and visitors at Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital by awakening their powers of sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch in a peaceful setting.
Traditionally PET imaging has been offered with one, two, three or even four rings of detectors with gaps between the rings. MR Solutions, the independent world leader in preclinical imaging, is now offering continuous PET detection thus avoiding any artifacts caused by the gaps between the rings.
In this Center for Global Development (CGD) "Global Prosperity Wonkcast," Lawrence MacDonald, vice president for communications and policy outreach at CGD, interviews CGD senior fellow Mead Over, an expert on the economics of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, and Jenny Ottenhoff, CGD policy outreach associate, about the "state of the epidemic, budget austerity, and the U.S. role in the global response."
Emilio Romero, 23, has mixed feelings about losing his job. It's a major financial setback, but with two previous hospitalizations for pneumonia, a restaurant was not the safest place for the recent college graduate as the COVID-19 pandemic mushroomed.
