The Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) is encouraged by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care's announcement to expand its Emergency Room (ER) Pay for Results Program. The OHA considers this expansion a positive step forward in improving both access to care and health system accountability.

A landmark University of Alberta study, analyzing a sample of over 275,000 individuals, has found that when it comes to participation in physical activity, one size does not fit all.
The Affordable Care Act has a section that exempts members of health care sharing ministries from purchasing insurance. The Amish, Mennonite, Christian Science and Indian tribe communities also are exempt from the penalty that will be incurred on Americans who fail to purchase health insurance by 2014.
