This randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled study of up to 75 patients will look at the percentage of diabetic ulcers completely healed over a 12-week period, among other outcomes.
Taking the battle against the national epidemic of chronic illnesses to the Internet, the National Council on Aging (NCOA) is making Better Choices, Better Health, the online version of the internationally recognized Chronic Disease Self Management Program (CDSMP), available free for people in California and six other states Hawaii, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Oregon.
Researchers at Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute have identified a set of RNA molecules that are detectable in tissue samples and urine of prostate cancer patients but not in normal healthy individuals.
