BioTime, Inc. announced today that on June 1, 2010 the Company will be offering for sale five new human stem cell lines for research use only. These cell lines were developed using BioTime's ACTCellerate™ technology. These highly purified, novel, and scalable cell lines are embryonic progenitors, meaning that they are intermediate between human embryonic stem cells and fully developed cells.
When women undergo surgical treatment for breast cancer, they often also have reconstructive surgery but new QUT research reveals many women feel left out of the decision making.
In the absence of an emergency, Washington can and should bring its budget into balance, even though that requires doing what politicians despise: for Republicans, raising taxes; for Democrats, curbing the rapid growth in benefit programs such as Medicare and Social Security that already make up three-fifths of federal spending.
Patients with kidney failure who are treated with hemodialysis are at substantially increased risk of life-threatening infections.
"It appears that children with autism develop normally for six months, and then begin developing atypically," says Rutherford. "As typical children begin to accelerate in social development, the child with autism makes only minor gains."
