Vemma Nutrition Company has donated in excess of $315,000 of its premium children's supplement, Vemma NEXT™ to Kids in Distressed Situations (K.I.D.S.) as a first step in an ongoing donation partnership with the New York City-based nonprofit. This first donation has been earmarked primarily to assist with long-term relief efforts in Haiti spearheaded by K.I.D.S. and Operation Compassion, giving Haitian children access to the vital nutrients they are so desperately missing in their sparse diets.

Research at the Buck Institute shows the same mechanisms that lead to neuronal cell death in mice genetically fated to develop Parkinson's disease (PD) are involved in the much more common sporadic form of the age-related, neurodegenerative disorder that robs people of the ability to move normally.
Health conditions that involve inflammation run the gamut, from multiple sclerosis and lupus to arthritis, diabetes, and cancer. While inflammation can serve as a normal response to help the body deal with injury or infection, problems arise when it persists, potentially harming surrounding tissues.
