Although individuals with depression may be more likely to develop Alzheimer's disease, symptoms of depression do not appear to increase in the years before a diagnosis is made, according to a report in the April issue of Archives of General Psychiatry, one of the JAMA/Archives journals.
Results of the randomized, phase III, EORTC/GIMEMA 06012 intergroup trial (AML-17) reported in the Journal of Clinical Oncology show that sequential combination of gemtuzumab ozogamicin (GO) and standard chemotherapy provides no benefit for older patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and is too toxic for patients 70 years of age or more. GO is an antibody-drug conjugate comprised of an anti-CD33 monoclonal antibody linked to a cytotoxic agent.
TeamStaff, Inc., a leading healthcare and logistical services provider to the Federal Government, today announced its financial results for the fiscal quarter ended June 30, 2010. As a result of the previously disclosed sale of TeamStaff Rx, which was completed on January 4, 2010, all results reported in this release have been reclassified to show TeamStaff Rx as a discontinued operation.
