The spread of infectious diseases in-flight, can possibly be reduced by increasing ventilation within aircraft cabins, suggests a review published in this week's issue of The Lancet.
After a slow start, testing for COVID-19 has ramped up in recent weeks, with giant commercial labs jumping into the effort, drive-up testing sites established in some places and new types of tests approved under emergency rules set by the Food and Drug Administration.
LOINC® at Regenstrief, an international health data standard critical to health information exchange, has received additional federal funding to support efforts to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic and future public health needs.
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases has awarded Integral Molecular a contract (75N93019C00073) which will provide up to $5.5M over the next five years to define antibody responses to pathogenic viruses including Zika, Marburg and equine encephalitis viruses, aiding the discovery of vaccines and therapeutics against these currently untreatable and often lethal viruses.
