Early this month, the cover of First for Women magazine stopped Kathleen Kalaf in her tracks. The magazine featured an article about the connection between systemic Candida, or yeast overgrowth, and fat.

Eli Lilly and Company has received a complete response letter from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for its New Drug Application for liprotamase, a non-porcine pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy, under investigation for the treatment of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency.
Paclitaxel is a chemotherapeutic drug that has been shown to be highly effective when treating solid tumours, such as breast, ovarian and lung tumours. However, its use frequently causes peripheral neuropathies, neurological problems that affect the vast majority of patients.
