The Pacific Seafood Processors Association (PSPA), a leading nonprofit seafood industry trade association, is thrilled to see new advice from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) encouraging pregnant women and small children to eat more seafood.
Bayer HealthCare and Onyx Pharmaceuticals today announced that Bayer HealthCare has submitted a New Drug Application (NDA) to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the oral multi-kinase inhibitor regorafenib for the treatment of metastatic and/or unresectable gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) in patients whose disease has progressed despite prior treatment.
Health care groups have started flooding the super committee with appeals to protect their sliver of federal health care programs. Because the panel's mandate is to find at least $1.2 trillion in debt-reduction over the next decade, Medicare and Medicaid are prime targets. Together, those two government insurance programs account for nearly one-quarter of all federal spending.
