After recent consultation with the FDA in November 2010, Merrion is preparing for its Phase III study for Orazol. If successful, the Phase III study will allow a new drug application for Orazol to be made under the FDA's abbreviated approval procedure section 505(b)(2) using a single Phase III study. The study will compare Orazol against placebo as an adjuvant breast cancer treatment with a primary endpoint of Disease Free Survival of patients with breast cancer.
Competitive Technologies, Inc. announced today that Commonwealth Pain Specialists, the premier pain management center in Richmond and Central Virginia, is treating patients suffering from chronic, intense neuropathic pain using CTT's Calmare® Pain Therapy medical device.
But the survey underway in Prince George's County is intended to address a complex problem. Officials expect the data to give them a detailed look at the state of health and health care in the county, where conditions such as diabetes and heart disease are much more common than in the rest of the region and most of the state.
The researchers studied a mechanism of action they call the "magic spot" – an important regulator of gene expression. They describe their results in the current issue of the journal Cell.
