According to research on fatty acids conducted at the universities of Helsinki and Tampere, the consumption of canola-type rapeseed oil decreases the level of fibrinogen detrimental to health in the body. The increased fibrinogen level, caused by an imbalance in essential fats in one's diet, decreases when saturated fatty acids are replaced with rapeseed oil.
Haitian health authorities on Friday said the death toll from cholera has risen to 6,435 since October and that "the number of people infected with cholera almost reached half a million, although the ministry repeated the epidemic was decreasing," Xinhua reports.
The Neurosurgery Research and Education Foundation (NREF), which reached an agreement with Codman & Shurtleff, Inc. (Codman) in December 2009 to provide funding to the NREF in support of the Foundation's new post-residency, clinical fellowship grant program, is pleased to announce that the following programs have been awarded fellowship funding for 2010-2011: Baylor College of Medicine (pediatric neurosurgery), Brigham & Women's Hospital (general neurosurgery),
Tuberculosis or TB is a highly contagious infection that usually affects the lungs, but it can spread to other parts of the body, such as the spine and brain. Commonly caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, which can spread through the air from person to person.
The only UK charity dedicated to raising awareness of the risks from 'legal highs', the Angelus Foundation, has announced it welcomes the Temporary ban on Gogaine and other substances. Headshops and internet suppliers are being forced to eradicate their stock of various legal stimulants before midnight tonight.
