Codexis, Inc. today announced two separate collaborations in pharmaceutical manufacturing with Dishman Pharmaceuticals and Chemicals and AMPAC Fine Chemicals LLC, a subsidiary of American Pacific Corporation. These agreements expand the application of Codexis technology to a broadened pipeline of branded innovator pharmaceutical products.

Anxious people have long been classified as "hypersensitive" - they're thought to be more fearful and feel threatened more easily than their counterparts. But new research from Tel Aviv University shows that the anxious may not be hypersensitive at all - in fact, they may not be sensitive enough.
Scientists are reporting development and successful testing in laboratory mice of a substance that shows promise for becoming the first antidote for cocaine toxicity in humans. According to a report in ACS' journal Molecular Pharmaceutics, the new so-called "passive vaccine" reversed the motor impairment, seizures and other dangerous symptoms of a cocaine overdose, which claims thousands of lives each year among users of the illicit drug.
A digital sprint, featuring a series of hackathons, led by Cranfield University and the Natural Environment Research Council has seen multiple projects awarded prizes for innovation and use of digital technology.
