Research conducted at Boston Children's Hospital indicates that obesity might cause asthma via factors in the immune system and suggests a new way of treating asthma in obese people—who often respond poorly to standard asthma medications. In a first-of-its-kind study, Medical College of Georgia researchers are testing whether simulation driving can reduce Parkinson's patients' threefold increased risk of car accidents.
Researchers have found that bowel cancer cells have a mechanism by which they can switch off some key molecules on their surfaces and thus escape being recognised and killed by the immunotherapy agents.
First quarter results reflect challenging revenue picture. Pipeline strengthened by Amgen collaboration, the agreement to acquire Ardea Biosciences and positive CHMP opinion for FORXIGATM (dapagliflozin) in Europe.
