The most frequent contributors to medication errors and adverse drug events in busy primary care practice offices are communication problems and lack of knowledge, according to a study of a prototype web-based medication error and adverse drug event reporting system.
Pfizer Inc. and Icagen, Inc. announced today that Pfizer's wholly-owned subsidiary, Eclipse Acquisition Corp., has extended the expiration date of its tender offer for all outstanding shares of common stock of Icagen for $6.00 per share, paid to the seller in cash, without interest thereon, less any applicable withholding and transfer taxes.
Boston Medical Center pathologists have developed a set of protocols for processing and preserving forensic evidence, such as shrapnel, bullets and other projectiles, in surgical specimens (i.e. amputated limbs, injured organs, etc.) after a terrorist attack based on lessons learned from the Boston Marathon bombing.
