A Connecticut cancer pathologist/physician/scientist with extensive experience in the field for the past half century has formally challenged the FDA to back claims on its website that human papillomavirus (HPV) genotypes 6 and 11 cause vulvar and vaginal cancers in women.
Mallinckrodt plc, a leading specialty biopharmaceutical company, today announced that data from a pilot study for its H.P. Acthar Gel (repository corticotropin injection) will be presented at the American College of Rheumatology 2015 Annual Meeting to be held November 7-11 in San Francisco.
Brain abnormalities in schizophrenia have been identified at the microscale (alterations in synaptic connections between neurons) and the macroscale (altered connections between brain regions).
Rice University's Andrew Barron and his group, working with labs in Italy, Germany and Greece, have identified specific molecules that could block the means by which the deadly virus spreads by taking away its ability to bind with other proteins.
