Millions more people could get access to life-saving HIV drug therapy, following a landmark study led by Australian researchers based at the Kirby Institute at the University of New South Wales (UNSW).
It's estimated that one in 100 people in the United States are living with celiac disease, but there are only a handful of celiac centers throughout the country. In response to a growing need for educational materials, clinicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center's Celiac Center have launched CeliacNow, a nutritional management website designed to maximize the health and wellbeing of people living with celiac disease and other gluten-related disorders.
Bristol-Myers Squibb (NYSE: BMY) and Enterome SA (Enterome), a pioneer in the development of pharmaceuticals and diagnostics based on the gut microbiome, announced that they have entered into an Immuno-Oncology focused collaboration agreement for the discovery and development of microbiome-derived biomarkers, drug targets and bioactive molecules to be developed as potential companion diagnostics and therapeutics for cancer.
