New research from the University of Exeter and University College London has challenged claims that sitting for long periods increases the risk of an early death even if you are otherwise physically active.
Approximately 5,000 families (pregnant women, fathers and newborns) are being asked to take part in a new study called Étude 3-D (Découvrir, Développer, Devenir) that is aimed at understanding the effects of perinatal events on child development. The study is directed by Dr. William Fraser, Associate Director of Clinical Research at the CHU Sainte-Justine and professor of Medicine at the University of Montreal.
Prior research has shown that chronic alcoholism is associated with numerous olfactory deficits in odor judgment, odor identification, odor sensitivity, and the ability to qualitatively discriminate between odors.
