A new study found the use of outdoor parks and trails in urban areas of North Carolina declined during two summer months of 2020 – contrary to anecdotal reports of a spike in new users during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Provectus Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a development-stage oncology and dermatology biopharmaceutical company, announced that top-line final data from its phase 2 clinical trial of PV-10 for metastatic melanoma were presented at the 2nd European Post-Chicago Melanoma Meeting 2012, Interdisciplinary Global Conference on Developing New Treatments for Melanoma, on June 22, 2012, in Munich, Germany.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration today approved the MicroTransponder Vivistim Paired VNS System (Vivistim System), a first-of-its-kind, drug-free rehabilitation system intended to treat moderate to severe upper extremity motor deficits associated with chronic ischemic stroke—a stroke caused by a blockage of blood flow to the brain with long-lasting symptoms—using vagus nerve stimulation (VNS).
Intermittent signaling by steroid hormones can affect the way genes are expressed in rodents, according to research by scientists at the University of Bristol and the National Cancer Institute (NCI), USA.
