The Denver Post on Friday examined efforts to establish needle-exchange programs in Colorado to reduce the risk of HIV and hepatitis C among injection drug users.
The University of Kentucky will be the first higher education institution in the Commonwealth of Kentucky to offer a graduate degree in music therapy. The program, housed at the UK School of Music, was officially approved by the state's Council on Postsecondary Education earlier in November and will start accepting graduate students in the spring of 2012.
But Blue Dog Democrats said Wednesday that no one is going to cut benefits for seniors or people near the current eligibility age for Medicare and Social Security.
Aradigm Corporation today announced that Zogenix, Inc. and Desitin Pharmaceuticals GmbH were granted approval of the Marketing Authorization Application for SUMAVEL® DosePro™ (sumatriptan injection) needle-free delivery system for the acute treatment of migraine attacks, with or without aura, and the acute treatment of cluster headache by the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices of Germany (BrArM) and the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency of the United Kingdom (MHRA).
While data privacy has been a much-talked about topic lately-with questions still lingering about how giants like Facebook and Google are sharing our personal information-much less has been said about how we are going to manage digital information about our health in the future, particularly digital recordings of doctors' visits.
