New research from RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences has found a possible relationship between the presence of a specific type of bacteria found in tumors and the spread of bowel cancer.
A multi-university team of researchers found that expressive language sampling can be useful in measuring outcomes in clinical trials targeting fragile X syndrome.
While genetics and other factors like age and sex contribute to each individual's response to exercise, little is known about the biological mechanisms by which physical activity brings about beneficial changes to the body.
In a study of mothers with a history of preeclampsia, a hypertension complication in pregnancy affecting five percent of all women, researchers at Yale have found that these women have an increased lifetime risk for cardiovascular illness and death.
