Packaging Coordinators, Inc. (PCI), a global supplier of pharmaceutical commercial packaging solutions and clinical trials services is pleased to announce that it will be exhibiting its full range of services on booth 41M15 at CPhI Worldwide. Exhibiting for the first time as Packaging Coordinators, inc. since May 2013 when AndersonBrecon merged with and operated as Frazier Healthcare's portfolio company, PCI, the company is now one of the largest suppliers of packaging supply services to the pharmaceutical industry and will be demonstrating its capabilities in clinical trials, in laboratory services and commercial services for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical customers.
Over the past year, 1,220 hospitals participating in the Premier healthcare alliance's group buy program have identified $81 million in savings through access to high-quality products at low costs.
Researchers at UCLA's Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center have developed a new drug delivery system using nanodiamonds (NDs) that allows for direct application of chemotherapy to brain tumors with fewer harmful side effects and better cancer-killing efficiency than existing treatments.
A council commissioned study into the Ace Waste incinerator at Willawong showed that the residents and businesses around the facility were at potential risk of exposure to chemical emissions. The incinerator at Willawong is used to dispose of medical and chemical pollutants that can cause cancer when people are exposed to high concentrations. Brisbane Lord Mayor Campbell Newman revealed this last night. Premier Anna Bligh however denies that there is such a risk. She has assured that the incinerator is safe and there have been no problems for the past twenty year.
Scientists at the University of California, Berkeley, have captured unique images of problem-solving in action by tapping into the minds of mice. The study shows rapid rewiring in the frontal brains of mice after they learn by trial and error.
