To commemorate its fifth anniversary PLoS Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) on Thursday "compiled editorials and research papers published over the last five years to create a collection called 'The Geopolitics of NTDs,'" the Global Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases' "End the Neglect" blog reports.
A new head-mounted display system lets anesthesiologists keep an eye on critical monitoring data during surgery—without having to turn their attention away from the patient, reports a study in the April issue of Anesthesia & Analgesia, official journal of the International Anesthesia Research Society.
Akorn, Inc. today announced that it failed to reach an amicable resolution to a longer term and strategic business arrangement with the supplier of its Tetanus Diphtheria ("Td") vaccine and as a result will be exiting the business. The existing supply agreement will end on March 14, 2010. The company previously announced its intent to exit the distribution of flu vaccines.
