Doctors at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center want to remind parents about the importance of immunizing their children when preparing to send their children back to school.
Nile Therapeutics, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company that develops novel therapeutics for heart failure patients, today announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted Fast Track designation to Nile's post-acute development program for cenderitide, which has the goal of reducing cardiovascular mortality and cardiovascular re-hospitalization in the post-acute period in patients with acute decompensated heart failure.
The London Ophthalmology Centre (LondonOC) has developed a new, non-invasive technique for the application of Xen stent into the eye to treat acute glaucoma. The micro device and new technique was successfully used to save the sight of former Children's Laureate, Michael Rosen.
Pregnant women are at higher risk for serious illness and complications, including death, from influenza.
